Tribal Literature series in English and other languages bring forth to the surface gems of literature that are otherwise inaccessible to masses.

Documentaries
Considering the need for and the importance of documentation in the field of Literature, Sahitya Akademi, has Launched a project of documentary films on writers of national repute.
All the films are being directed by eminent film-makers or writers familiar with the work of their subjects.
Each film tries to capture the writers in their different moods, the environments in which they work, makes them talk about their work, and presents their art and achievements in retrospect.
These are valuable pieces of creative documentation worthy of any national or international archive.
The Akademi has so far produced 153 video-films on the eminent Indian litterateurs.
