Description

Taledanda is a play which is related to the era of  Basavaina and Bijjal. This is most important era in the history of Karnataka. During this time Basavanna brought together poets, thinkers, yogis and revolutionaries in the tour of Kalyan. Leaving a side the thoughts of castieesm apartheid, inequality among men, the human body is the only truth, were the revolutionary thoughts which were germinated in the hearts of each and everyone. Girish Karnad (born in 1938) is a renowned writer, actor, and director of cinemas. He has been awarded many awards in the fields of play and cinema. In the play ‘Taledanda’ we see a vision of Karnad’s art and his unique way of viewing life.
