Hindi Kahani Sangrah is the original book in Hindi edited by Bhisham Sahni and was published by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.  The book contains thirty representative Hindi short stories written by prominent Hindi writers and covers the new trends and developments in Hindi short story after Indian independence in 1947.  It portrays the philanthropic tradition of Indian literature that was natural to Hindi literature and vibrant life of the people of the contemporary time.
