Anthahpuram is the Telugu translation of the Sahitya Akademi’s award-winning Kannada novel Aramane by Kum.Veerabhadrappa.  The author portrays the life and environment of Bellary in an impressive manner in the novel.  Though the novel has the historical, mythological and folk background and themes, but simultaneously it conveys the pragmatic nature of life.
