Arogya  Niketan is a Marathi translation by Shripad Joshi of Tarashankar Bandyopadhaya’s major philosophical novel. The central character of Arogya Niketan is Jiban Masai, an Ayurvedic practitioner, and a resident of a village, has fought all his life against death and Allopathy. Tarashankar Bandopadhyaya sensitively portrays the eternal struggle between Life and Death, and attempts to discover the ultimate end of life and the eternal mystery – Death, the ultimate reality.
