Description

This is a novel of epic magnitude, unfolds the history of Kuttanad over two centuries mainly through the tragic and tragi-comic narratives of several families through several generations, tracing its evolution from a feudal society to its present state. Scores of characters are vividly brought to life as the novel progresses. Some of the inset tales have a hunting quality about them. Kayiru is a polyphonic work in which realism, fantasy, legend and mythology blend together into a mosaic to make it a great epic of Kerala.
