This book documents the oral literary tradition of the Toda tribe residing in Nilgiris hills. This anthology is an example of Sahitya Akademi’s dynamic effort in promoting ‘word of mouth’ literature, with the aim of recording and preserving the oral literary tradition of the Todas, for they highlight the lifestyle and culture of their community.
