Description

Samakalin Sindhi Galpasangraha (1980-2005) is an anthology of contemporary Sindhi short stories in Hindi. It is compiled and edited by Prem Prakash and translated into Bengali by Sandhya Choudhury. It is the first Bengali translation of Sindhi short stories form Sahitya Akademi. Sindhi Community has its own distinctiveness which is expressed through the lifestyle of the people belonging to the community. In these short stories which are written from 1980 to 2005, several points of views on contemporary social issues have been expressed through several well developed characters. The themes as well as the settings of these stories have diversity as well as distinctiveness. It contributes a lot towards the diversity of Indian literature.
