Description

This collection of Kannada Short Stories since Indian Independence and the editor-cum-compiler felt to include 39 short stories from 39 writers within the period of publication precisely (1950 to 2000); starting from ‘Navya’ (modern) writers B.C. Ramachandra Sharma, U.R. Ananthamurthy, Yashwanth Chittal, Shantinath K. Desai, P. Lankesh, K.P. Poornachandra Tejaswi, Veena Shanteshwarea, Devanur Mahadeva and the writers from two generations of present.  The young writers are with different background like Nemichandra, Jayant Kaikini, Vivek Shanbag, H.Nagaveni,  B.T.Jahnavi, B.T. Lalitha Naik and a host of story writers.  Mostly Navya (modern) which started around 1960s and further influences.
