Description

N. V. Kurup is well know as one of the senior renowned poets among other traditional Malyalam poets. He was awarded Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1971, and Sahitya  Akademi  Award in the year 1977. In 2007  he was awarded the Bharatiya  Gyanpeeth Award. After the Padmashri, in 2011 he was conferred with the Padmavibhushan.
