He has received the Ghalib Award, Amir Khusroo award as well as the Sahitya Akademi Award. He is an author of over fifty books.

Translator of this book, Hiro Thakur, is a noted Sindhi poet and writer. His book on Kazi Kadan has been well received in India as well as in Sindh, Pakistan. The Culture Ministry of Sindh has bestowed on him the Shah Latif Excellency Award. He has also received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his book-Taikeek Ain Tanqeed.
