We see there a live description of personalities, beauty of nature, greenery and the living style of people, which has been elaborately expressed effectively by the author.  Ruskin Bond was born in the year 1934. His childhood was spent with his grandfather at Mussaurie. Ruskin Boand has 40 books to his credit among which are ‘gharwal’ Heaven in Himalayas, ‘To live in Maazic’, ‘Panther’s Moon’, ‘Room of the roof’, ‘Our trees Still Grow in Dehra’. His books have been translated in other languages as well. He lived most of his life at Dehradun, Mussaurie, Shimla, and in the company of the Gharwali hills. He was awarded the Sahitya  Akademi Award for this book in 1993.
