Recipient of several awards including Sahitya Akademi award, eminent Bengali fictionist Atin Bandyopadhyay (1934-2019) is well known for his classics like Nilkantha Pakhir Khonje, Manusher Gharbari, Aloukik Jalajan and Ishwarer Bagan as well as other novels depicting the pains and pathos of partition.
