This book contains selected Gujarati poems published between 1985 – 2010.  It is indeed a brilliant idea to have a  portrait instead of a photograph of the ethos during a particular period of time through poems. The anthology is such a gratifying attempt. The poems in the anthology are grouped in six different categories on the basis of generations of poets, major discourses, and sub-genres of poetry. Rajendra Patel’s, the editor, one of the eminent Gujarati writers, foreword elaborately speaks of the sensibilities of the poets.
